MARIA PENA- TES Custodian in Pre-K Building
Ms. Maria is so helpful with our ESL students in Pre-K. She takes time out of her busy schedule to call our non-English speaking parents to discuss any issues or celebrations we have with a student. She is an integral part of our team that we would not want to do without. And... our building actually sparkles it is so clean. WELCOME BACK TES is excited to have all of our students back in class. Fourth Grade made snowflakes in math, and they are counting down the days until Christmas Break - only 16 school days and we have so much to do!
TES IS THANKFUL
We have so much to be thankful for at TES from kindergarten students using their finger prints to create Fall trees to 3rd graders making their own butter in Science for their feast.
We are also grateful for the support from our dedicated substitute teachers, our thoughtful PTO, and amazing cafeteria staff that keeps us happy and fed each day.
Happy Thanksgiving break. We look forward to seeing all of our students back at school on Monday, November 27.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING FROM TES - EARLY RELEASE
Trenton Elementary would like to wish all of our families a Happy Thanksgiving! Thanksgiving Break will be November 20-24. We will see all of our students back on Monday, November 27.
TISD has EARLY RELEASE tomorrow (Friday, Nov. 17) at 12:45. TES will start our car line at 12:35. There will be no Beyond the Bell - after school program, UIL practice, or any after school activities. TES staff is looking forward to enjoying this break with our families and loved ones, and we hope you all do the same.

TES OCTOBER STAFF SPOTLIGHT
Norma Moore - TES School Secretary/Registrar
I want to say how thankful I am for Mrs. Moore. She is the glue that holds us all together. She is a lady who wears many hats and wears them well. There is never a time when she is not there to help, listen when you need a sounding board, remind you to put in your attendance, doctor a sick child if the nurse is off campus, listen to a child read, or just give a teacher a break when they need one (just to name a few). I can't imagine going through a school day, week, month, or year without her. I am proud to call her my friend. Thank you Norma for loving us all and for taking care of us. TES OCTOBER STUDENT LEADERS Georgia Bryning - Kindergarten and Ira Trejo - 3rd Grade Georgia Bryning is sweet and friendly to everyone. She shows kindness to others and is always eager to help. She has a positive attitude and works hard. Georgia is an amazing Tiger Leader! - Christina King (Kindergarten Teacher) I would like to nominate Ira Trejo for student leader of the month. Ira is such a wonderful role model for so many other students. He is always willing to help teachers and any student in need, without hesitation. He shows great leadership skills by exemplifying that awesome ROARing behavior everyday, Ira has an amazing attitude overall. - Pamela Slough (3rd Grade Teacher)
Wednesday, October 11, is an Early Release Day for Trenton ISD. Trenton Elementary School will start the car pick-up line at 12:35.
There will be no Beyond the Bell -TES does not have the after school program on any early release days.
October 12 and 13 are County Fair/Fall Break Days. We will see all students back at school on Monday, October 16.
PRE-K - "FALLING" INTO TES
It's a lot of work for a 4 year old to start going to school all day. Pre-K is off to a great start . Students are counting and making number stacks, and painting fall trees to decorate their hall.

No one could ask for two better ladies to work with than Shelley Cooper and Christina King. They have my back in school and out of school. My job of teaching kindergarten would be so much harder, and not near as much fun without them. I love them both!! - Anna Ammerman

Braylen Billue is a hard working student and eager to help others. He is respectful and an all around great student, and leader of his peers. - Christina Davis
Claudia Pena is an amazing 3rd grade leader. She is always willing to help her peers, demonstrates ROARing behaviors, and is an example to all tigers. - Samantha Listello
TRENTON ELEMENTARY - BIG KAHUNA FUNDRAISER
The students at TES are excited about PTO's Big Kahuna Fundraiser!
Envelopes will come home today.
Students can earn prizes from the first day just for selling 1 item.
Envelopes with paper order forms are due back at school on October 11.
Online orders close October 19.

Miller Grove will only have a Varsity Volleyball team for Sept. 22 so it will be one match only that night beginning at 4:30.
Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd Grade students have entertained their guests at lunch and the book fair. Friday (9/14/23) 3rd Grade will welcome guests for Grandparent's Week. It will also be the last day for the TES Book Fair. The book fair will be open from 8:30-3:00 for anyone still wanting to purchase books.
School Picture Day is September 20!

Trenton Elementary School enjoyed hosting guests of Pre-K and 4th Grade students at lunch and the book fair today in honor of Grandparents' Week. We look forward to seeing guests of Kindergarten students tomorrow (9/12/23) from 11:10-11:40.
